Somehow I feel that putting gems or precious metals on the shoe is cheating.
Indeed, most of those "shoes" are infact diamond studded sneakers/trainers. Vulgarity incarnate, including the Luis Vuitton ones.
Take the precious metals, gems and skins away, and all that is left are cheap trainers.

Yes, it is cheating. Why aren't they posting the $30,000 knee high alligator riding boots by Lattazni or the $28,000 Sergio Rossi (Gucci) women's alligator boots that were recently for sale in Australia. Posting real shoes would have made the article much better.
Now you know how people can spend money to touch status they will never have.
Reminds me of this story of this guy who worked in retail clothes and ordered everything for himself that celebrity customers he admired ordered, which he could not afford.
