@ jesmond and jimmy frost - thanks for the warm welcome.
@ Oliver - i have changed the colour of my bedford cords and gone for the Cream/Fog/Off white colour you ordered ! I decided they go better with my Loake brown desert boots and other brown shades of brogue / boot. I felt the brindle grey colour was a bit dull. How are you getting on with yours ?
I will be wearing them at present with maroon/purple knitted fred perry vintage polo and a navy polo from lacoste buttoned up all the way and probably chocalate brown desert boots and maybe some navy desert boots i might buy from church shoes.
Can you guys recommend the colours to really go with the bedford cords in this cream colour on the top half in terms of short sleeve shirts and tees and crew neck thin merino jumpers apart from navy, red or maroon/burgundy which i have already ?
thanks
i also wear this olive coloured waterproof anorak a lor with all the rain we get here in london lately so bear in mind olive jacket, brown desert sahara boots from loake, cream vintage bedford cords but what is the final piece up top to pull it together ?

here is the jacket link oops
Hey Jason,
I really dig them a lot and have posted photos of them in the forum before. I really think they're the ideal cut and fit. I had them slightly altered in the upper thighs but only because I do this with all my trousers as I think it's impossible for any off the rack fit to be suitably individualized otherwise, it was really minimal and probably unecessary to most. I can't imagine anyone on this forum not being happy with them. Good choice!
Thanks Jimmy, i shall have a look for some kind of burnt orange or warm orange t shirt to go with the bedfords. I have pale or chatham blue ralph lauren slim polo and button down sky blue oxford shirt already, So how do you rock your fog cream coloured cords - with blazers or jackets or check shirts ?
@ capt maddox, yeah i bought the barbour 1 month ago for £139 instead of £200 in olive, it is waterproof and breathable and versatile with the detachable hood especially with the showers we have in england whilst not being too hot or heavy to wear and something you can thrown in your backpack. In the autumn winter , i tend to wear this other jacket

Im thinking this summer to invest in a pair of these from Church shoes with crepe soles, any thoughts ?

Sorry to bring up an old thread.
Does anybody who owns a pair of these find they rip really easy? I had one pair bust in the crotch after a day due to cycling. Returned them as faulty. Now another pair have had the same problem a few months in with no cycling.
Anybody else have similar gripes?
As you an see, I like to work em out and test their durability...

Mine have been fine, I've done a bit of football with the nephews. No slide tackles mind.
No I didn't size up (they're a 32/30) and can surely lose the belt by now as I've put on a ton; it's a John Simons surcingle that's more ornamental to match with navy or red socks when wearing loafers. I did have them subtly tapered and shaped in the thighs though it's hardly noticable, which is how I like it.
Aye, the brown from A/W is a lovely colour. It's a real shame they do that horrible, fashion 'fatigue' to the back label though. They've got a new S/S 13 collection with 'swamp' as a new colour. From the different websites I've seen I can't figure out if it's a grey or a blue or whatever. What colour even is a swamp? They've reissued the fog colour again too with some really cool 'original californian white levis' advertising.
That tee looks great, Goodyear; fantastic colours. Reminds me of an old hang ten tee I used to wear but had to retire. It was too tight and had a bit of a rent-boy from trainspotting vibe
Oh, not seen the back label. I was on my way out their Soho shop after picking up some jeans. They were laid out on a wooden box things, colour looked great. The tee is the pick of this seasons IMO.

These were also available in 'super cord'. Does anyone know if that is what they called bedford?
Fantastic Acton. Have you seen the super cord in the flesh?
Would you say Spikes were the forerunner of the super slims, the first orange tabs? Were they even the first orange tab? You'll know more than me I'm sure.
BTW, have I mentioned, bloody good having you here Acton. You've put a lot of things in clear view for me since you joined. Cheers.
