Re: HARDY AND JOHNSON

There were indeed some excellent bargains Captain. Plenty of shirts, jackets, suits, coats and accessories at sale prices, plus 'The Shop', you've been there mate .....vintage ivy gratification taken to new levels. All stuff you would be proud to wear at very acceptable prices. I came away with a couple of Brooks short sleeve shirts and 3 Tootal scarves (a bit moddy but when do you see them for 15 quid each).

Lloyd's working on making new stuff in the shirt and jacket line. It goes without saying that he knows his ivy onions and has the right contacts in clothing manufacture, should be exciting.

Re: HARDY AND JOHNSON

Well what were the chances...I was already planned on popping by yesterday....
Sadly all my moolah splurge went on the 1940s Barnstormer....another one of my Holy Grails ticked off mind and deliriously happy with it...

Some tremendous bits in the sale kids...and if stuff's still around in a month or so, I'll be back and no mistake...
Plenty of other things I'd have snapped up too if I hadn't have been on a mission for the leather...

Thee H & J Emporium.... a little piece of Heaven on Earth...

AS EVER - A delight to catch up with you again Chris.. and Lloyd...

See ya soon no doubt…

Would love to visit in person - it's like an an Ivy Shangri La. I'd take a big wedge with me, and no mistake. Must email them about something I've got my eye on, actually.......

I have always been interested in this thread, but I don't use FB. Can I still access the store?

Re: HARDY AND JOHNSON

It's an open group so you don't need an FB account (I think!). If you see anything you like you can just email them at an address they give on the page. I presume your dislike of FB only extends to not having an account, rather than to looking at it at all?

I can heartily recommend Hardy and Johnson - a great selection of quality items and Chris and Lloyd are true gents who know their stuff.

Ah, perhaps it's a closed group then. Only one answer Ox! And you'll have the added benefit of sharing photos of your dinner with people.

Re: HARDY AND JOHNSON

Chris and Lloyd, have you plans to put your stock online anywhere other than Facebook? I must admit I don't find it very convenient as a store.

If you try looking through the items in the photos section and click on anything for a closer look, when you try to return to the list you find yourself back on page one — very annoying if you were on p14.

Re: HARDY AND JOHNSON

Hi SB, no plans yet to go anywhere else online anytime soon. We do try to keep everything simple, but what you describe is down to Facebook and out of our control.....We do have plans but our ideas are in another direction at present.

PS. H&J is a public group on Facebook so should be accessible to all.
