It's a Rooster, Oliver and just under 3 inches at it's widest. I just bought it though, not selling. Sorry.
I'll let you know if I come across anything similar on my travels. This one had actually been on etsy for the best part of 2 months. Which is why I say I was surprised no one else had bought it (grabbed it out from under me).
Ah, got you and nice find!
I would've jumped on that for sure had I seen it!
A ha! I seen this one too. It looks like a madras to me, though I don't think it was mentioned in the ad. If it is then I'm guessing it's next to unworn from the contrasts of the colours and the clarity of the white not t mention that very crisp looking label. Excellent work Oliver.
Definitely authentic madras!
Picked up another Rooster as well and eyeing a couple more in the watch list..
got a black and a blue, but I still need a dark red one....

There seem to be a lot of printed Roosters around jut now. Lots of Batik print square end ties on Etsy in general. Not really my cup of tea but I can appreciate them. Nice work Oliver.
Every time this thread comes to the top, I wonder what's going on in here. Now I know, lol.
A big bump for Bo Jo.
Mwah
The middle one's a beaut.
I like the Rooster ties which have square ends, like a knit tie. I got hold of one in Madras, but it was too wide. So in the end, I bought Madras fabric last year and had a few made, based on the pattern of the Rooster.
And here is a blatant plug to the sales topic, where I am flogging the last one of the batch. I intended to keep it as a reserve, but I really have enough stuff so that I do not need to keep my garments in double quantities.

Looks nice Axe! Good pattern
I really love it Axe and I'd have it off you if I didn't have a very similar Rooster. A square end madras is fun to wear on a real sunny day/warm evening. Especially one not cut on the bias. Slinks under the preppy radar nicely I think.
I think Liam may have just highlighted the main difference between Ivy and Prep. It's a 45 degree angle!
Liam/Bop, glad you like it. I like it very much, too. It is more difficult to use the pattern without a bias and I think she did a really a great job there. Originally I intended to have some more made earlier this year for fun. Sort of kinky hobby. Then so much fuss happened that I let go of the "project". Maybe next year.
I'm trying to do similar Axe, the choice of fabric is annoying, when you're trying to work out the repeat, and keep each tie uniform. Thank god for stripes!
Yeah I'm not used to giving things to much consideration, but when budgets are tight you do really focus down on getting it right. I'm boring myself (and Liam) to tears hunting for the right fabrics. Some fabric just won't work if they're not on the bias.
