Re: Ye-ye girls I have known, and loved.

His two last albums are great adult leanback mediterreanean pop.

Maybe "grown up" is a better expression than "adult". ♥

she's just a simple, transexual, banana sales-person, I think you're reading into it far too much.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Ah oui, Bardot.

There is a French TV special from the late 60s, " An evening with Brigitte Bardot" or something. Great watch, if you ever have the chance to catch it. Completely camp. Some outtakes can be found on youtube, if you are lucky. For example her duet "Comic Strip" with "Sucettes" Gainsbourg in a comic setting.

Or her "masterpiece" "Harley Davidson".  Also from this tv special, if I am not wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3IOZ0NbrVs

Great costumes.

Re: Ye-ye girls I have known, and loved.

Just one last thing about old Henri Salvador. He had a comeback when he was over 80 with his last two albums "Chambre avec vue (2000)" and Ma Chère Et Tendre (2003). Really worth checking them out, when there is the opportunity.

Thanks to this thread I learned that he released an other album (Révérence, 2006) before he died in 2008. Obviously it has a lot of Brazilian influences and Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil contributed to it. Will try to get in my lunch break. You live and learn.
