I saw Colors over 20 years ago, when my knowledge of US style was almost non-existent, so I think a rewatch is well overdue, for the threads if nothing else.

The 2 films I mentioned including a bit of 50s/60s/70s style before taking it to the 80s (although I don't think the cholo style changed dramatically over the years).

I've watched Blood in Blood out at least a couple of times,  American me once which was ok but never been inspired to see again. Weren't they both based on the same people?  BIBO reminded me of The Outsider's which was a favourite of mine as a teenager.

This story is set in 1965 Tulsa and the two gangs are divided along socio economic lines.

In fact me and Acton were saying in America, Incontinence pants trainers and Barbour have much different connotations than they might do in the UK. Over here you'd be seen as a casual or football hooligan..

I dont think subtlety wearing a cholo style or at least by wearing a boardshirt and khakis anybody would pick up on anything..in fact youd probably just look like you were a skater stuck in the 90s In the UK
