That's not the Croydon that I know!

However, it's a salutary warning against wearing Burberry-tartan hipsters.

I find it more disturbing they used the term 'pants' unless he was just only wearing his pants...which should have been an early warning to an imbalance of his mental state.

I believe that it is safe to say at least one contributor has tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Howard's latest contribution to the thread betrays a hitherto unseen aggressive streak!

Re: Inane Overdrive-Brave New World Edition, 2013 and Beyond

a case of the British underclass savaging each other like animals ... how far removed from the various forums perception of the 'old country'. hilariously the UK is now open to Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants who are as of this week allowed to move freely across Europe into the UK ... UK policians assure the public that they wont come in huge numbers as they are just as likely to go to other places in Europe like errm Greece, Portugal et al .. & that many would want to stay at home as they have families and so on there. Clueless Twats smile

wonder whats going to happen to anger amongst the british underclass .. when they cant get a lowly paid menial job even if they wanted to ..  when they cant get a council house, their benefits are cut back .. when they have to wait 6 months for a doctors appointment & if they have a nasty accident violent or otherwise cant get seen in A&E as the doctors want more and more money & the waiting rooms are full to bursting.

The British underclass will increasingly move into the alternative black economy, which for them will work, being cut-off from the mainstream and so called legitimate economy. We have seen how this works in places like Mexico, but will be a handy solution compared to destitution and living in card board boxes.

you may well be right .. the rather depressing BBC1 Soap Eastenders shows how this could work .. the whole 'square' is a closed self sufficient system which could operate independently (apart from use of basic utilities). even Law & Order is dealt with in house, with Phil Mitchel et al meating out rough justice with their fists.

Re: Inane Overdrive-Brave New World Edition, 2013 and Beyond

you are right, but the stupidity of the UK government is that it hasn't figured out the concept of giving out temporary work permits , instead of granting permanent citizenship to people along with all their dependents. they also don't let people into the country depending on their work related skill sets .. instead its a free for all, so we have all the Bangladeshi waiters & Polish brick layers that we can handle but no doctors for instance coming in to staff NHS waiting rooms.

Certain benefits have been cut back especially where their recipients are a soft target .. the disabled, the unemployed etc.

The main cost within the NHS is wages .. the labour government rewrote doctors contracts & were ridiculously generous, following in the tradition of weak spineless governments who couldn't take on the medical lobby. GPs in the UK now earn an average of £120k to work about 5 proper hours a day (9-5 with a 2 hour lunch break). Many partners in the practises earn far more, plus they top up earnings by doing shifts in their local A&Es for instance, which are overcrowded partly as nobody can see a GP out of hours (the previous 9-5 stated). NHS senior doctors are also allowed to moonlight as much as they fancy in their own private practises, as long as they are 'on call' .. which means they walk around with a beeper which they never answer. Its a joke .. these guys are worse than bankers, they drive around in porsches, & complain they are worried about patient care whenever anyone talks about reform. INSANITY.

Re: Inane Overdrive-Brave New World Edition, 2013 and Beyond

l sacked my old doctor after not knowing what vitamin B5 and B6 was, and after she said that diet wasn't really important to health. I said to her "l am sacking you this morning and l am seeking the services of a much more qualified doctor, however l will use you for the mundane jobs such as checking blood pressure". But the thing is, l tear strips off them nicely and we are still friendly. When l see her these days she tucks her tail between her legs and is very careful in what she says because she knows l will pull the rug from under her and ruthlessly expose her ignorance.

She recently offered me a blood test. I said no and explained why blood tests are notoriously inaccurate. She said "have them anyway to make sure". I said in a stern deep voice "l am not helping you fraud the system to get kickbacks in order to top up your wages".

l don't hestitate to put a doctor in a headlock each and everytime they show ignorance in their profession.

I remember one poor natural healer when l was younger...l ripped his head clean off. The poor bastard hated my guts after that. wink

I really try to avoid doctors unless there is a dire emergency.  I did go recently just to get blood work.  Fit as a fiddle I am, or so say the results.  I'm pretty much right there with you Shoomeister.

Re: Inane Overdrive-Brave New World Edition, 2013 and Beyond

Everything being said...l GREATLY respect some medical doctors because some are very smart men. They are the people who bother to read the medical and science literiture and try to perscribe a healthy lifestyle as the first priority and only perscribe drugs if absolutely neccessary. These type of doctors won't perscribe drugs willy nilly because some nub asked for it. The type of doctors l respect try to make clueless nubs responsible. The good doctors are the ones that do the whole nine yards.

Good healing is to do no harm to the body if you can avoid it, but very few doctors go by this philosophy. We must rid ourselves of the `doctors of death' and bring back `the doctors of life'. And we must get these bleedin' doctors off the amphetamine drugs so they don't amputate the wrong leg on a long weekend when they need to work long hours.

If you go for surgury the first thing you do is ask to see the doctor's pupils. This is to test to see if he is a druggie. If he is a druggie you call him out and report him to the authorities.

Have you seen the movie Forks Over Knives, or Food Matters?  I'm guessing you have.
