From looking at Claxton's book more, McQueen had the exact same pair of the same cords in what looks to be a darker brown as well. I also have some photos that I had found, which were also taken by Claxton but didn't make his book, that show him in yet another pair in a different color. Seems to me that he liked them quite a bit.
Sometime over the summer I will hopefully have a couple pair made. Will let you guys know if I do and would post pics as well.
Cheers Gents
fxh - if you go for a wander when in Tokyo see if that place still sell the cords. Tbh, I wish I had known a bit more about the shops in Japan when I went, it was a lightening tour of 3 nights and saw only a very small part of tokyo - found a couple of great shops but bought mostly bike parts as at that time I was building a new one. So many great shops I missed out on, but I think the reality is I would have struggled to get to these places in the time I had there.
Hope you both have great trips, I fancy Japan for the Honeymoon (think Henry said the same when I saw him the other week) but the missus fancies San Fran, L.A. and a few days in Los Cabos.

Yup definitely going to try and go there for our Honeymoon. My other half is well aware of my ulterior Ivy motives. I'd love to try and get a suit made by Tailor Caid while we're there, but I'm not sure if will be possible.

fxh - that is very commendable, it sounds like a top trip - and obviously any endeavours will be much appreciated by all i'm sure.
Seconded. Just document as much Ivy as you can I say
I want to see a picture sitting in a hot spring with a Japanese Macaque. Bonus points if you are sharing some kind of high strength Aussie lager with them. Hope this isn't too much to ask.

I always fancied hanging around with the art school kids, but alas it was not to be, once spent the night getting extremely high with a conceptual art gallery owner, quite a revelation. But that was the closet I've ever got to the art world, drank with my fare share of piss artists though.
I've got a whole bloody family/house of them........Ms, kids, friends.......home full of paintings, drawings, sculptures, "installations", some huge - garage 3/4 full too.....
