Re: The London Jimathon !

So - I'll be on Chiltern Street Noon-ish to 6pm tomorrow. I'll be the guy talking a lot.

Mr. Woofboxer - Another (Smoking Cat) Irish Poplin tie is in my bag for you. Actually I'm bringing up quite a few Ivy goodies for various people - Proper nice old J. Press flap-pocket BDs and a Brooks for the Harvard Coop OCBD, a very nice vintage take on the Pendleton shirt by 'Brent'...  All gifts for mates. Arriving early is the only way to see them before they are given away - And when & where else are you going to see such Ivy goodies in the flesh ?

wink

The world holds its breath as Napoleon limps into W1. Or perhaps a better analogy is the 'Ivy Boris Johnson', all that bumbling public school deceitfulness. You say one thing to one person, something else behind their back, and then shrug your shoulders, guffaw, fall over and mumble "It's all bollocks isn't it rah rah rah..."

Fun and games on the internet are all well and good but meeting up for a drink and chat with mates is much more tangible, I'm excited about that tie as well.

You conned us all for a while old boy, but rare now is the man who does not approach you with a mixture of wry amusement and contempt.

Maybe Pedro might want to take this to the Talk Jimmy thread.

Re: The London Jimathon !

Thanks Armchaired. Should not then this thread be over there too? If his presence is to be eliminated, if we are all to be thankfully decontaminated, and distraction of a negative type is to be discouraged then this piece ought too to be marginalised - non?

Re: The London Jimathon !

I am just following the consensus and am very much the spam zapper.
The intention is to keep it Ivy here not to eradicate Jim from the forum.
The problem is Jim likes to talk about himself a little more than Ivy.

Yes but Jim is Ivy and Ivy is Jim, he is trying to synthesise the two lordy help us, so we look at a Brooks sack and picture his sack. We will all need therapy after this I'm telling you.
