Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

It's kind of clear that it can be. The IP suggests you use the same router at least, I can't believe this band of helpers all sit round waiting for something to go off, and then take turns to log-in and out. I know that Hank posted as Russel Street, and maybe that is 'the crew' limiting to one or two extra people. To be honest most things were obvious all along, Andy and JP being pretty easy to spot with their distinct characters, if not their names. I'm not too fussed, in all honesty, it's all pretty sad, but I think what is obvious is the community that has built up around the more honest chaps, that do feel they do deserve to treat people straight down the line, has kind of prevailed in away, I can't think of three nicer chaps to have this place under their care. I hope people respond to that. But I'm well aware there are many ways to lead an army, and Jim's way was very effective for a very longtime.

The mistake really was just owning the lease and not the building.

Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

Fair play though - Re-reading your post there is a middle ground:

'Arch Troll' contrives 'Troll HQ' to further his ambitions ?

- But in reality this is just Marketing. There are no 'trolls' in the real life world of Advertising. All Ad Men would be classed as 'trolls' if there were.

... And although I play up to the stupid online 'troll' label first bestowed upon me by Mr. Kabbaz, I am merely a viral marketer here. Always have been.

And now I stop because I've already sold my product: Me.

(But it is fun to talk and explain about these things.)

Best -

Again, I can't imagine that is the case, I've run a forum, albiet a small one, but I've seen the background workings of one. And IP's are not generated by mods, this forum would sit on a structure that has nothing to do with moderator input.

Nah, mate the forum is ours.  It was yours, it'll never be mine.

Cheers for starting it. And for finding all the new lads on Modculture.  Mental, egomaniacal troll or not, I owe you one.

Liam & Co

You are pissing into the wind here. There is no point trying to apply rational argument to someone who is living in a world of their own construct, particularly if they are clever; they will have an answer for everything and just blot out the bits they don't like.

One thing they can't hack though is being ignored.

Time this thread was put to bed as it is going round in circles.

You're absolutely right of course Woof.

A goat butts its head against a hedge. Its horns become entangled.

I will leave this now. But I'll leave the thread open and here because I'd rather not have Jimmy talk spill out across other boards.

Cheers Woof.

As ever Woof is bang on the money with his post.
Jim has taken it from all angles in the last couple of days
probably deserved i would say ,however
What’s glaringly obvious to me is that he is enjoying every minute of it.
Gaining sustenance, gulping and swallowing it whole. The attention is like a drug to him.
It is really quite disturbing.

Re: JFM Talks Ivy !

Yeah but even with shifting to proxy IP's he still has a record of your use here, someone couldn't shift to share your IP over here typing from somewhere else, it doesn't work like that. You have an exclusive IP, even when you proxy. On top of that I can't even imagine there were or are enough people bothered with this place to throw in their two-cents under a Russel Street team, that would've not posted on here as themselves, I only know of one, that being Hard Bop Hank, the only person to have ever leaned on me via PM, I nearly told him to fuck off then, and now I guess I can now. I think my heart, head and loyalty has to go to those that have earned my trust, even in this make-believe world, I think the other mistake is not realising that internet anonymity is soo 2004, and even though this forum still looks like a geo-cities page, I think that time has long gone.
