I thought this was interesting too:

And this in comparison:

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c66_1195161252

And then this from Clegg, very interesting too:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/terrorism-in-the-uk/10078197/Woolwich-attack-Nick-Clegg-says-murder-of-Drummer-Lee-Rigby-flies-in-the-face-of-the-peace-and-love-that-Islam-teaches.html

The question I ask, if all you Londoners are so getting it on together, then why you all living in cultural ghettoes?

Re: The EDL, right wing extremists or fashionistas?

Is there any such thing as right or left wing anymore? lsn't it only a perception these days? Both ideologies serve the CORPORATION OF LONDON (the same master these days), so the label of right and left only serves as a distraction from what really is so the public can argue about unimportant stuff while the big boys carry on with the important stuff.  Same distractions go with sport, t.v, newspapers etc.

Fashionistas? Yeah probably, but it looks like a load of bollocks...dirty and nasty. lt also makes them look like a bunch of rough bastards. So yes, it's fashion because it is putting off an image.

The working class in the UK has always been rough and uncouth Shooey, don't let that scare you off.

They are angry and the establishment are shit scared, but not as shit scared as they are of the elephant in the china shop, they will do everything they can to destroy the alienated and disenfranchised working class. But the so called middle classes are getting pissed off too now.....they have a different problem to fix.

Woah, I just thought the piss taking vid was funny. That being said here's a comment I left under a vid of the leader of the EDL spouting his usual racism mixed with fact to be palatable and I stand by it.

"I'm not being fooled. I know he's preaching hate, but I've seen Muslim men on the news since the incidents that happened in London saying that there is a problem with the leaders within their community not addressing the fact that young Muslim men are being led down the wrong path. I agree that there's a culture of treading on eggshells around these issues and I think that that's not right. Race doesn't come into it for me but people who want to reside in this country shouldn't preach hate against it and there's a very small minority that do and it shouldn't be tolerated. Just my ten cents worth."

Re: The EDL, right wing extremists or fashionistas?

Like I say Cat, too many liberals.  My Muslim friends have been shocked and disgusted by the murder. Its about time the leadership stood up and told the European court to do one and start deporting these preachers of hate. The last time I was back in Leicester the number of people in the local rag that were in court for minor crimes like drink-diving, benefit cheating and a punch up who's names end in ski was unreal. They can go as well.  If they can't live like a human being do those that can a favor.

1 in 7 convicted rioters in 2011 were born abroad. From 44 different countries. Many of whom can not be deported because of human rights issues. What a joke. The trouble is people are scared of saying anything as a realist for fear of being called a nazi. The truth is that many people back home of different class, religious and cultural backgrounds are united in the belief that stern action needs to be taken by a leadership. If the scum was weeded out before it got to Blighty's shores and those that commit crime against her society deported they'd be no reason for groups like the EDL. If integration had been better over the last 50 years I think you'd find the EDL would have a much more diverse following of cultural groups.

In many ways they are adopting the mores of the established underclass. Britain probably has the worst underclass in Europe. The problem starts there.

The Islamist thing is something else and is distinct from Islam which like most, if not all religion, conservative.

Contemporary Islamism/Jihad strikes me as both nihilistic and narcissistic.

Re: The EDL, right wing extremists or fashionistas?

I'm right in tune with the views of Hepcat and Goodyear. The UK needs immigration as the indigenous population do not produce enough children to sustain the country in the long term. History shows that societies can only assimilate immigrants at a certain rate before tensions start to arise. The UK and some other EU countries have gone way beyond that rate whilst government leaders sit on their hands.

Even in Holland, traditionally the most liberal country in Europe, the government are making moves to curb Muslim extremists. We are still some way away from that in the UK. The climate of political correctness and sensitivity over racial issues has been imposed to such a point here that ordinary people in shops and offices feel constrained in voicing their views, let alone politicians.

We are governed by people who are totally disconnected from the concerns and problems of citizens, liberals, champagne socialists and Tory toffs who make mealy mouthed pronouncements on these matters then retreat to their wealthy ghettos in Putney and Islington to have dinner with their banker neighbours.  They need to come up with something new or the far right will creep up on them.

We have gone out of our way to tolerate intolerance.
