Re: WASP101 Gate

The world of niche specialists is strangely 'other' - I'm sure all niche specialities are like this. Those with a real knowledge of Ivy laughed and laugh still at all this. Unless there's a few bob in it for them...

On the whole online Trad, Mod and Preppy fans are into all this. Ivy fans just aren't.  Because if you know Ivy then you know that this is all more than just a bit rubbish.

But this is only Mr. C.'s third blog in a row on a different subject. His fourth may be The One. I wish him well with that. This third one of his has made him look rather strange. An unhappy accident.

Re: WASP101 Gate

I rather like some of Chensvold's writing. Not a big fan of blogs, or the commenting subculture in general, but he has some skill as a writer. All of these clothing blogs eventually dip into self-reference and pretense, though. Must be the nature of the medium as it is just too ubiquitous to be character traits. Maybe it is because the field is so wide open. Anyone can blog. To get noticed, be provocative, get in feuds, and be somewhat over the top. Just a guess that is as bad as any other I can come up with.

Re: WASP101 Gate

Back to the original topic, I did read WASP 101 a few times and quickly discarded it from my mind. It was obviously a put on.

While I think Richard has some problems I would say the same about his stalker/revealer. Maybe even more emphatically. He did this for a year. Because he was angry. At blog posts. That's clearly a mal-adjusted person.

To be sure I am not well-adjusted either. But I live my problems in my own head. I don't need to "fix" someone else and destroy them. Who the fuck cares so much about a blog/blogger you don't like? That's scary crazy. Odd crazy is so much better for society.

The sanctimonious arrogance of the man appears to have no limits - http://www.ivy-style.com/blogging-is-publishing-and-publishing-is-public.html. Talk about kicking a man when he is down! Unbelievable! mad

Not pretty.

Not even I do that.

Worse and worse. How Chens wriggles on the hook provided to him that he swallowed of his own accord...

Silly little fish.

I think he knows that this one is an uber bad one.

- Anyway - Email from Richard today and he's a very happy chappy.  None of this is anything to do with him. He has a life. And all the rest are just really sad little internetters...

Time to close this thread ?

Horrible man is exposed as being horrible yet again...  ?

- But maybe that's unfair -

... Broke and desperate man is exposed s being broke and desperate yet again ?

Who'd be a 'Professional Blogger' ?

The problem with Silvio Berlusconi was that he is an Ivy blogger.

Re: WASP101 Gate

Exactly, I don't know if Jim created a monster with Chens but it seems the Nutter From Norway has had his moral compass put out of whack after the years of torment from Jim et al. It'll come home to roost, it always does. Same for Jim the merry trickster too, maybe it already has a little bit kickback. But let's see what unfolds. If I could go back to 2008 and film all this I would, this is the stuff independent documentaries are made of.

Re: WASP101 Gate

I think for all the spin, there genuinely is a person there, and sometimes a fragile one at that, who for what ever reason needs these things. If you really were free from that like you say you are, you would walk away now, and never log in again But you can't, so why pretend in order just to save face. It's ok Jim, I really don't mind what you do, but I think at some point you might want to admit that ultimately the internet has moved on. And you can state your purpose, but I'll always believe it was the Jimmy Show, for the very fact Jimmy needed a show.

And we move further and further away from the clothes, by the same standard that Richard has no right to be a publisher because he is a shit publisher, Chen's has no right being a style writer because he has no fucking style.
