Re: WASP101 Gate

I'd question that the Net has moved on though. It's a very circular place bound by its format. All this stuff is as old as the hills online. There's nothing new here.

I know you, your venting it out on here. Chill bro, women can smell desperation on a man. Try wearing a good suit on a night out and then spend 10 minutes talking to the most attractive lady in the bar. I think you'll find it'll just come to you after that.

It's war in Ivyland as Guiseppe sides with WASP101 and removes Ivy Style from his blogroll- http://anaffordablewardrobe.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/square-one.html

The ripples in the pond from this one are already interesting.

... It strikes me, as always, that my position remains the only sane one online... 'Troll', 'Manipulator', or, if you're all grown-up and not online, 'Guerrila Viral Marketer'...  wink

Bugger all to do with clothes though.  But then so little of all this is.

Publishing is a public act by definition, yes. It doesn’t follow that the identity of the publisher has to be made public. You’ve chosen to reveal the identity of some blogger. Your decision. Your responsibility.

Re: WASP101 Gate

I must say my sympathies lie with Chenners in this business. If a man wants to make a public spectacle of his "lifestyle," actual or (as I suspect in the case of Dick, mostly) spurious, I don't see why his "privacy" or "anonymity" should remain sacrosanct. This is the only forum where I do not use an easily identifiable version of my real name, Jan M. Libourel, M.A. (Oxon.), Ph. D. I am somewhat ashamed of this fact because I did so out of deference to certain forum "gods" who got on my case for flying my true colors on the "outlaw" forum. I was still relatively new to the forum culture at that time and wouldn't have knuckled under today.

I take a simple view that if a man wants to say something, he should be man enough to put his name to it. Otherwise he should shut up. The anonymity of Internet culture tends to bring out the worst in people, if not most of them, at least a great many. Admittedly, if I lived in someplace like Iran, I would probably feel different about this matter of anonymity

Re: WASP101 Gate

Bullshit. There are plenty of instances where anonymity should be sacrosanct. We now seek information more publicly than ever. In turn we often need to "publish" more information about ourselves. But we are still entitled to anonymity in many circumstances.

Oh I suppose I should go on to a heroin recovery board and broadcast my true identity. Hey, maybe even a future employer can find it. How grand. But, I'd be a man for all that at least.

One thing is correct about your post. You take a simple view.

Is this WASP 101 guy the same cat who is a bishop in some anti-papist sect?

In touch with Mr. WASP101 as always and he's doing grand. We are both currently pissing ourselves. Chens looks a right creep. Yet another own goal he should have seen from a mile off ?

Ivy Style is but one site for style tips. It wasn’t a favorite and even less so now with this current foolishness. Classless.

Chenners has got a way to go to catch up with Simon Cowell. But then Simon Cowell already had a jaw like a broken jerry pot.

Re: WASP101 Gate

More from Richard and me soon.

Chens has been a right muppet here yet once more.

What's he 'exposed' apart what a creepy little online freak he is ?

We can't believe he fell for such a blatant 'Sting' as well.  Even when I blatantly rolled up full of Jimmy Talk did no alarm bells ring  ?

He lives up his arse and it shows.

With respect.

Jimmy.
