/\ That is a tasty looking cemita Tom but is Pal Cabron still open?

Respect

I had tacos of cochinita pibil and pork al pastor last night, it was chilly and it was chile!

No! I discovered that after posting, gutted as the place looked amazing.

Wife's favourite Conchinita Pibil tacos, you need a lot of chilli when it's chilly.

Re: The Ivy Sandwich ...

Damn you, Tom! You got me fixed on cemitas this morning and I had to rent a Zipcar and truck all the way out to some suburban mall parking lot in Redwood City today for a poblana and gorditas from Los Carnalitos food truck!

Re: The Ivy Sandwich ...

Jesus Christ what a hangover from last night though it was worth it but it's Friday noon and already a lost weekend

There is only one thing that will help me now and that is a hot sub, either a cheesesteak or a hot pastrami with provolone

Pray for me, there's a little tiny guy in my head behind my eyes and he's getting busy with a pugil stick

The Ivy sandwich is best consumed late at night after many rounds and approaching one in the afternoon is very late at night indeed and I haven't been fed my teas yet either

Re: The Ivy Sandwich ...

Crispy American bacon on lightly buttered white toast washed down with cup of English tea and glass of cranberry juice, makes me feel so good!

Oscar Mayer, Wonder, Ocean Spray on the USA side, and PG Tips, china, and Kerrygold for the Anglo-Irish connection

Re: The Ivy Sandwich ...

today I chomp on cold duck chow fun leftovers and a proletariat bowl of wonton noodle soup with char siu and bok choy from my tramp through the hilly streets of Chinatown last night.

Re: The Ivy Sandwich ...

/\  you are one of the worst bad influences in my life Ollie!  in a great way of course!

I'm going to try to make it to the roti shop for a curried chicken roti and a Ting but

these are not sandwiches!

I'm going to the store for some pimiento cheese for grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches tomorrow

that would be Southern but not really Ivy but where is the law saying I have to eat cream cheese on brown bread from a can just because it's super Boston Ivy?
