^ wise words woof, dead adult moths are usually a sign of larvae near by.

Re: The Ivy Moth Hole ?

Does anyone know if it's possible for moths to lay eggs in multiple places or would it all be concentrated under say, a single sweater, jacket lapel, etc? Do the larvae typically travel from clothing article to clothing article or would they chomp their way through whatever fabric they're laying on until they develop into an full grown moth and then take off? Would they immediately lay more eggs?? Should I run out and buy dozens of moth balls this afternoon?

Re: The Ivy Moth Hole ?

Thanks man, this seems like a never ending cycle though! I'm always going to be paranoid now and per the advice in the other thread, I'm never turning the damn light in my closet off again! Thank goodness my father-in-law's in the electrical/lighting business because I'm burning that light 24/7 from here on out. California runs on renewable energy anyway so suck it hippies!

Re: The Ivy Moth Hole ?

I'm gonna go a second round with the steamer today and then I'm ordering a bunch of garment and sweater bags going forward.

Haha I did actually.

I dreamt I was a hateful indignant moth-kicking spider.

Ha, I wish I had that nifty machine that George zips through on his conveyor belt and comes out fully clothed!

Re: The Ivy Moth Hole ?

Hey, Oliver,

How big was the dead moth you found?

This is a serious question.

You're losin' it man. But to be honest, the sight of that hole has got me a little worried too.

Re: The Ivy Moth Hole ?

I feel like Ray Milland in Lost Weekend shooing imaginary spiders!

I've actually noticed some pulls on the chest of a green tweed that I wored a couple of weeks ago that I'm almost certain weren't there before...
