Think this has been said before, but if you wore a rugby shirt on campus in the UK you would get labelled a toff (possibly followed by the word 'w**ker')

Thanks for the insight Kingston1an. Imagine it has changed somewhat over the years - don't really see that many on the Birmingham campus but when you do it is quite predictably worn with Jack Wills, Abercrombie, Hollister and the like.
