It would be such a pleasure to share this apizz' wit you WM ... some Foxon Park and some pitchers ... get all the rest of you in on it ... this pizza's enormous and everybody gets a piece and some get three .....

actually Frank Pepe's (Wooster Street locations please) is best known for its white clam pies, I like mine with well-done bacon too if you're down with that..... when they're on everything they do is legendary ...... by the way if you can't eat clams you can still order white pies with other things ...

Re: Mr. Stanshall's Very Own Thread -

yesterday's lunch was so nice, Cuban food from the funky neighborhood known as Little Havana.  This is a very nice sandwich of sweet ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, mostaza, and pickles on pressed toasted Cuban bread.  To drink is Materva, a great local soda pop (or tonic if you're from Boston) supposedly flavored with matÚ but better to me than real matÚ.

Sir, when a man is tired of Lebowski, he is tired of life .....

speaking of Coen brothers movies, we are cracking up massively here at their 2004 remake of The Ladykillers ... A/B it with the classic original, the Mississippi-set remake is excellent in its own right .... the jokes keep coming and the gospel music is amazing .... also, for any fans of ginger tomcats and/or the Wayans brothers, this movie is the one to watch ... bonus points for Mountain Girl reference ....

some good old Ivy grooming stuff ... from out of the past ..... Royall Lyme has been featured on others' blogs but you know my recommendation is legit ... this is great stuff to this day and you should check it out ... it's light ....

the Brylcream ... it smells great and keeps my hair soft ... with it I can look as good as Marlon Brando in The Missouri Breaks ..... seriously, don't neglect the Bryl just because it's antiquated ... really like it .......

+1 on da Creem.  I was using it strong a while back but now I'm on more of a Pomade trip.  I do keep a tube handy though.  Sometimes it's just right.  It also always makes me think of this:

I'm sure the scent of Bryl used to fill the Brill.

Re: Mr. Stanshall's Very Own Thread -

/\  pomade doesn't work well for me but Groom & Clean is great, I alternate between G & C and the Brylcream ... I am currently devoted to it and it helps me maintain my utterly disheveled wind-tunnel look ... it's become like Frank's RedHot Sauce, I put that shit on everything ...... it works as a face moisturizer too in a pinch .......

on the subject of Old Ivy/American Heritage grooming products let me heartly recommend this one too ... use it after the shave for delightful menthol content and then rinse off in shower after it's done its trick, that's my way:

/\  Top Brass is no more, I never used it ... never had to use no dippity-do kind of crud before but now I'm so vain that I've had to resort to all manner of unguents and lotions for to keep muhself looking almost as good as Grandpa Sawyer ....

My good friend bought me a few tubes of the Top Brass he found somewhere.  I guess when it's gone it's gone.

Brooks Brothers St. Jude striped tie, if you buy one in the USA $5 (not terribly generous) will be donated to the children's hospital in Memphis:
