I fancy something like the hush puppies earl or the wayne. The wayne is a suede Oxford like Oli suggested distinctively sitting somewhere between rockabilly and Ivy. The wad a better looking model from the 60s which I think maybe be the billington
yeah rockabilly shoes like good old Carl Perkins's don't really jibe with the board shirt component but boots do, hardcore guys like Ramrod and the other vintage Dead road crew wore Pendletons and engineer or motorcycle boots back in the '60s and early '70s .... greaser as hell. The true Ivy greaser boot is the "Rough-Out Half Wellington" pull-on.
I've been called a 'rockabilly' before whilst wearing some rigid levis, an OCBD and some black vans.
Also been called a teddy boy whilst wearing the same get up but with a pair of dessies.
As discussed before, Ivy/americana clothing can have a million different cultural connotations to the general public. Can be a bit mind boggling.

Maybe Bop needs to better explain what he means by "ivy / greaser". Would Steve McQueen fall into this category?
Greaser and rockabilly go hand in hand.
