Another distinction, is that what became known as white rockabilly style as that adopted by Elvis and Perkins and the like, was really just their adoption of the flashy clothing worn by black entertainers and blues musicians and sold at establishments like Lansky Bros. and other Beale Street shops in Memphis. As for greaser gear, I don't think I've ever seen too many black guys sporting it.
Check these dudes:

There's also a photo of black hell's Angels guys in Robert Frank's The Americans.
If that counts as greaser.
With a Pendleton and jeans, I find myself going for the Florsheim Imperial Guardsman buckle chukka boots more often than not. Often with a Levis sherpa line trucker jacket on top.
Otherwise why not suede mocs, the slightly hokey Minnetonka kind of thing?
Just realized that it's a shoe thread...
Did you already talk about blue suede shoes?
You'd definitely need a thick skin and a brass neck to go with the ol' blue suede shoes I reckon
Those cord ones look like earls. They look better on than not
I would grab a paid for the summer if they were still made.
If you do fancy the blue suede shoe route - and have small feet for a bigger chap...

Bit of a fib about the age of those shoes I reckon.
