Damn. You got the munchies or what? But your wish is my command.
I was a Gator dater years back, when I was just a young buck on the scene. Man, she was really out there.
I digress, as we should quit hijacking the Levi's thread with our tantalizing subjects.
I'm still hoping SenorServo pops up and lets me know he found some LVCs in my size, and more importantly, price range.
P.S. Re: Levi's: I've been rotating an old pair of plain old 501s, don't know how old, maybe ten or fifteen years old, they started out rigid shrink-to-fit, now they've got that greenish cast to them, and the Wrangler 13MZWs which started out rigid indigo but are breaking down nicely with lots of wear ..... and both need one turn-up and are slightly baggy on me which is how it must be since tight jeans on men are pure comedy gold.
I was just admiring my Wranglers today. Well, I can look down and admire them NOW, as I'm wearing them. They're looking pretty damn legit at this point. I've pretty much given up on anything else. I just don't have the energy or money to chase down elusive denim "perfection".
Holy shit at that mullet Doghouse posted. Check out his pert little denimed ass too. Oh, and the chick's alright too.
I'd love to see a college football team on the field in Levi's.
Hmm... All this jean talk... May pass tomorrow by the LVC shop in the Meatpacking D. Be nice if they have a sale, I really like the 1949 made in the USA ones and the 67's (one size up) Dave's got some Lee's for $28 that deserve a second look.
To be honest, I'm not sure jeans with a high-rise look good on me (heresy). The high-rise is alright from the front but from the side it adds a good ten years to my age, too much of the dreaded dad jean look.
A mid-rise seems to do the trick on me.
By the way, weren't Levi's supposed to be known for their mid-rise? Not too high, not too low. Just the right mid-rise?

Their 505s have been Blue Rondo a la Turk for a fair few years now..
All the older ones (i.e. year they relate to) are US made...but seem to be dying out sadly...I've been sweeping up nicely mind on that front for years as they're just so much more exciting personally and there's still bargains to be had...
Don't know the 1949s mind...but sound v interesting...
I think every large city has a fudgepacking district.
^ Oh dear, minds like sewers ....lol
I've now tried both LVC 505 and Lee 101 z and the rise on them is absolutely too low for me, even if I size up one size. Serisously, are there any other options in the same price range? I've looked into Edwin Nashville, they seem to have a higher rise and a fit like the old 505s. Could they be something?
Where have you been man? Wrangler 13MWZ!! Or you'd maybe like the 936DEM model better. Oliver got some of those so maybe he can attest.
Not really sure about the color on them... More a fan of the darker indigo. But I have been thinking of getting a pair actually, the fit looks great.

Try the 1947's, made in USA... its the ultimate jean. High rise, but not ridiculously high. The wranglers are ok, but can easily add 10 years to your age. Cute when you are young. Not so cool when you are 40.
^^ And they will only go higher. As we age, gravity tends to shrink us in height. Most men will loose about two inches in height from the time they were 21 to the time they reach 60. Hence, the dreaded -but all too common- old-timer with trousers up to his nipples phenomenon. Sadly, I see this at work every day.
A mid rise works best for me, it allows me to show that I'm in good shape and that' I'm not ready to retire to Boca Raton with Jerry's parents.
I don't find the 13MWZ freakishly high though. Less than an inch higher than other jeans I wear.
