Aren't there several American brands doing it now?
Sid Mashburn makes a self-fabric collar. I've had them and not too far from what you posted, but it is pique so collars are thicker. But looked nice.
I had an Izod button-down polo (self fabric) which was excellent. Never seen them in stores in the US though.
