Any recommendations for the rainy season please? I don't mean the UK rainy season (wet and cold) I mean the tropical rainy season (rains solidly for at least a month but temperatures remain high). What to wear?

/\ water-repellent bucket hat, umbrella, and maybe a pair of rubber wellies, sailing boots, Bean boots, or Blunnies
special raingear will be too hot for the most part
plain old plastic poncho in a pouch in a pinch but really the umbrella is the best way

Stetson bucket hat $20 US Amazon (version without the 'gutter' on the rim) is perfectly water repellent. In a downpour it saturates, though. Dries quickly.
