Good suits for the stout figure

O'Connells.

Brooks Brothers? Just look for the Italian stuff.

I am sure this will chime with posters in this forum

Ah yes, Brioni €4000-€7000, but if you go to their outlet shop in Venice, you can pick them up between €400-€1,400.

Brooks is finished, I purchased some stuff, trousers and jackets mainly from their outlet store in above said location last August and they're all falling apart already. Terrible quality.

I'm giving Ralph Lauren a repraisal at the moment: some of their higher end labels are good and they do, as the article points out have a definitve silhouette, including The Great Gatsby and Woody Allen ones. They've even a rustic old West look, great if you're in an Americana band. Even in their lower end stuff, you will find bright and unique preppy fabrics in madras, linen and oxfords that nobody else does.

The time I went into one of the two Brooks Brothers store  I was disgusted at the lack of quality.  I we into to Ralph Lauren shop at the Marina and went YES!  The quality and cut are far more Ivy.
