I must recommend the SF "reporter" Synthese.
He appears to be from the jeans, T shirt and sneakers/boots side of SF and writes in a very entertaining way.

Its easy (and fun) to point and giggle at Pitti standouts but I must admit I'm with shooey here. Mostly its good to see men enjoying clothes and dressing up or down. The more jarring and click bait (note:usage of current jargon to refer to old technology) outfits are there for a purpose. To attract attention.
For me a positive is that I've decided that a couple of suits and jackets that I thought too tight may be wearable. May.

Haha. Judging by Pitti, you've got absolutely nothing to be afraid of, regardless the fit.
Yes - also agree with the sentiment that Pitti is a dress ups convention for men in the fashion industry. Of course they will push the boundaries. If anything, this is the only time and place where wearing dress shoes without socks and reeeally tight double breasted jackets in the heat is actually dressing to your context.
Doesn't mean we can't have a little chuckle at some of the more excessive stuff though...
Also, cf to dressing up like Frank Nitti to go to the beach in summer.
It must take that guy up there about 15 minutes to fasten and unfasten his blazer. He's the least punctual guy at Pitti for sure.
Give kissing buttons a whole new meaning

Just been Skyping my colleagues in Florence, I asked them what was this Uomo Pitti malarkey and they said it was full of very important people and stylists strutting around the place and then laughed. But in a mocking way.

Looks to me like a bunch of guys that need a week at Shooey's house with the shovel.
