Short sleeve shirts now £15
A shame the online shop doesn't seem to be working, everytime I've gone to order something recently, I am informed at check-out, it's not available in that configuration!
Pro-Keds £29.00 whilst stocks last.
The online shop works well for me, I just bought a pair of Sperry CVOs. More than double the cost of what they sold for Stateside though. I hope I don't get hit with duties on top of it.
I think it's trying to order the white button-down that messes it up for me!
still on, got a nice blue ocbd and knit tie today for £54 for the 2?
^ careful now AC, I just popped in for a look and came out with a much lighter wallet
I love their take on it but have an olive Baracuta already sadly..which I don't wear so much these days..
I still like their golfing jacket thing as it's a bit quirkier for the like of me..
Am sure you'll love it AC....
What did you get Acton??
There were definitely Harrington's in AC, but I was trying to concentrate on the trousers so can't promise any Olive ones were there. Sorry.
I was in recently. If there was a sale on I didn't notice. Lots of ok looking things, but not much really grabbed me. The macs looked tempting but turned out to be far too tight for my tastes - they cannot be worn over a jacket.
There was a beautiful NOS 50s/60s heavy full length overcoat, which is around 300GBP. Not cheap obviously but for a coat of such quality I think reasonable, however after trying it on I suspect it is a tad big for me, so I declined. The MacNeils look decent and the JS loafers (I think made by Rancourt) look superb. The JS jackets/blazers made in Japan also look pretty good, however I resisted.
Everything else was not my cup of tea, as I don't like their shirts, I find their trousers way too tight, I already own 2 Harringtons, and I detest Keydge. I'm not sure if I saw the cord suits, although if they're Keydge I wouldn't have given them much attention.
I hate Keydge too. Last time I was there I bought some JS olive cotton trousers with frog mouth pockets, which were on sale. Very nice too. I tried a vintage paisly print SS BD shirt on which was great, but was eye watering priced - way over the top, so I declined.
Anyone like, um, Keydge neutral?
Kinda venomous invective for a coat guys.
Well, allright then - they're just not for me. Better?
I know how Scottish people can be easily disturbed by harsh invective, Moose - it being so alien to them! ( ;
We hate J Keydge and we hate J Keydge, we hate J Keydge and we hate J Keydge, we hate J Keydge and we hate J Keydge, we are the J Keydge haters.....
(Sung to the tune of 'we hate Pompey')
Have any of you John Simon acolytes mentioned your hatred of the J Keydge to the man only he seems to offer a wide selection of the said jackets ? Is that why many are on sale at his place ? I tend to swerve away from his shop these days because I know he will be able to talk me into parting with cash for an over-priced item that I don't really need. I am neutral on the Keydge but I am glad they are being made.
