Those are a little too Inuit for my taste.
Take away that horrid white stitching, and they're passable.

Not really a fan of them either. Their Playboy variation last year was very nice...

Pass! That looks like something Peter Tork would wear.
To me, the Clark's desert boot is all I could ever really want out of a crepe sole ankle boot. Simple, affordable, durable, comfortable. I do like the Steve McQueen style chukka Playboys too, but I've never really been enticed to spend the extra dough. I did own a pair of Clark's waxed leather Desert Treks that I used strictly for hiking, which were a great shoe in my opinion. I didn't really like the way they looked, with the center stitching on the top and the bulbous toe, but again, for hiking, they were just the ticket. Retro Fan, I'd say that if you're not that into them don't get them. Save up for a different pair of the Playboys.

See, I could get down in those.

The uppers were indestructible. I only tossed them after I was stomping around on some hot coals and a few days later the sole just broke open on the bottom. I'd buy some again, for hiking.
Hope they make those Clarks in brown in the future - would definitely pick up a pair.
