Hot Doug's restaurant closed but apparently some of the products are sold at Wrigley:

I think I'll starve myself all day before the game! Sound advice thanks fellas.
It's one thing to support the loveable losers. Gotta make Woof a Giants fan.

getting ready for a fun afternoon at the big game, just assembling my poplin khaki raincoat, gray worsted sack suit, white ocbd, heavy longwings, lucky tie, Clubmasters, pipe, tobacco, transistor radio, folded newspaper, seat cushion, silver flask of bourbon, tie clip, sock garters, handkerchief, pocket full of quarters for the hot dog vendor ....
Well I can report that Mrs Woof and I had a teriffic time at the Cubs game tonight where we witnessed them do a 'shutout' win over Milwaukee and saw two home runs. We visited a couple of sports bars near Wrigley Field before the game, then consumed some hotdogs inside the ground, washed down with more beer. We sang along with the Star Spangled Banner and Take Me To The Ball Game, shouted and stood up and sat down a lot. Even having read up on the rules I couldn't follow what was happening most of the time, which didn't matter a bit! It was a cracking atmosphere, even the train ride home was good. So thanks for the baseball wisdom from Stanshall and Bradley.
Wonderful stuff Woof....
I was hoping you'd re-enact this of course...

biggups to Fenway Park (1912), Dodger Stadium (1962), Rose Bowl (1922), LA Coliseum (1923), Soldier Field (1924), the Yale Bowl (1914), Harvard Stadium (1903), Madison Square Garden (1968), and the gone but not forgotten Orange Bowl (1937-2008), Boston Garden (1928-1998), Miami Stadium (1949-2001), and the Miami Arena (1988-2008) .......
Yes indeedy Stanshall a great atmosphere to be found around these old sports stadiums, once they move out to the burbs things ain't the same somehow, the facilites to have a piss might be better but the atmos is missing.
The "beer league softball team" are AL East champs, baby!
Tommy nice shot of Vince Lombardi, we've had him in other thread(s), especially a good one with shots of a lot of coaches in Ivy or semi-Ivy, but he was missing here!
AC, cool shots of the 49ers fans!
