Surprisingly one of the juiciest and most flavorful steaks I've ever eaten also!
Wow, I'd love to see that when it's finished! What's your involvement with the documentary?
I second what AC states. I have refrained from commenting. Eating vicariously is no fun.

That does seem like a great blog. Seems she's actually done some research. I'll add it to the "blogs that I actually really want to read but probably never will get around to" list.
Sounds like a cool gig man!
You might've already seen this, but here's the original 1966 NBC broadcast that I guess the new documentary is based on:

^ superb stuff there Oliver, that's exactly the documentary that's the source of this doco.
A cool gig indeed but a bit weird.... two NY film makers with a film about the American South, soundtracked by some blokes in London and edited by a French fella based in LA.
Yeah that is strange. I'm kind of a film snob (that's sort of my background also) and I find that most modern documentaries are really poorly done and were it not for vested interest in certain subjects, I wouldn't give a lot of them the time of day. People are often far too forgiving of a film that happens to be about something they're partial too, despite the film itself being a clumsy, artless, inept production that's often wasted on the medium. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out though; I'll have another layer to listen for and appreciate knowing your involvement.
Ha!

A shame to see a place like that go, Oliver.
