End of the hipster culture? Yes please.

We've got 'normcore' on the way to replace it.
"How to be a hipster"
...... Don't read The Guardian!
I don't foresee any modern developed countries showing a marked decline in the number of young, irritating dorks in the near future, no matter what you call them.
Hipster bashing has subsided in New York. The hipster phenomenon is losing steam at the same time. The changes they have brought on Williamsburg, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Prospect Park, Chelsea and all of the "Villages" will remain. Some of that is good (Radegast Hall and Biergarten), and some is atrocious (the High Line).
I've recently attended a few events in the epicenter of hipsterdom, Williamsburg. Despite sticking out like a sore thumb, I was not made to feel unwelcome. I found the hipsters to be quite friendly and decent people. That said, there are many reasons I don't live in their neighborhoods. I can only see the word "artisanal" and the phrase "farm to table" so much. Plus, in the autumn and winter when I wear my flat caps I might be mistaken for someone trying to fit in and failing.
^^
NYC is now all about "Nomcore".
The hipster thrives in San Francisco - that said, I think hipster bashing has itself "jumped the shark". Hipster is such a general term that anyone could be labeled as such- and yes most of us here, could be labeled/called a hipster by someone outside of our tribe.

The beard hipster look never made it over to the Netherlands, but it was in abundance when I was back in the UK earlier this year.
