Re: Advice on a J. Press "Plymouth" Grey Herringbone jacket.

I had a Canadian made Press jacket like that, but I sold it on as the sleeves were too short - it was good as I recall. I think the shoulders had padding but the line was quite good. There's a photo of me wearing it on here somewhere - I'll try and find it......

Those shoulders look good to me.  Of course how they'll look on a body is what counts.

I remember that picture.  I think I asked you about your guitar amp.  A great look and a picture worth repeating.  Now we know why you were holding your hands behind your back, Mr. Shortsleeves.

S. Cohen is a Montreal tailor/manufacturer and I think they do Canadian Southwick and other brands as well. They've been making natural shoulder suits and sack jackets for over half a century. It looks kosher to me.

^I really dig that Lone Wolf gear,
their 'harp break' pedal is great for doing distorted vocals as well.
Their Rocket88 delay pedal for guitar is a pretty nifty bit 'o' kit too.

Re: Advice on a J. Press "Plymouth" Grey Herringbone jacket.

thanks Harpo and Acton_Baby!  At first glance I thought it was some kind of MXR but then I looked at the control configuration ... had not heard of the Lone Wolf company, it's been a few years since I looked into any pedals but at one point I had an addiction to the things ..... particularly the Small Stone phaser!

Re: Advice on a J. Press "Plymouth" Grey Herringbone jacket.

Excellent stuff AC, hope to see it in the ILSFT thread soon smile

Lots of new Etsy shops/sellers with vintage brogues appearing (must be the time of year), so worth a browse over there.
These aren't Imperials but a good price...
