Mrs Bop bought me a pair of Old Navy back from the US. I have to say they weren't that bad for the price, the quality was a lot better than a UK brand like for like such as matalan..and the rise was the best Ive found on modern 5ps...only trouble was a bit of excess round the seat probably wouldve been ok if i went down a size..you Americans cut things big, even when they're slimfit

Jos. A. Bank has a decent traditional version (they go on sale often). I bought a pair of the taupe about a year ago (on sale of course).

Don't know of these are any good and they are a bit expensive.
I would just wear them as a casual grey 5 pocket. Worn with knitwear or a sweat. Maybe a topsman if you have one in a colour that works well. See what is in your wardrobe that look good.
I miss the days when you could pick up a pair of decently made, relatively cheap chinos at Gap. A few different cuts and a few different colours. It was easy and everybody had them.
Banana Republic, too.

My apologies for bringing this old thread back up but I was wondering if anybody knows where to find 5 pocket corduroys with a decent rise (at least 11" on a W30)?
No need for apologies Hoot as i am still seeking a decent pair.
The question is still with the forum .
I just grabbed a pair of peanut 519 off the Levi's site for £63 in a 30" waist.
^ what T said the last batch of cord 519s are good,
plus the new entrant on the block HebTroCo

I'll post re HebTroCo soon,
got a pair of the cords and moleskins on the way to try (from a blogger who was sent them from the first production run to review).
Keep us posted on those HebTroCos, Acton_Baby. Look pretty decent to me.
