I have antipathy to dress shoes, almost every kind made, including wingtips, longwings, spectators, saddle shoes, and bluchers. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I don't like the way they look and I don't like them on my feet. I also dislike white bucks--too flashy--although I like and wear tan bucks.

I also wear blucher mocs, boat shoes, desert boots, loafers, and sneakers (trainers). I own a pair of brown leather bluchers, and I wear them when I must (with suits for interviews and funerals and such).

I'll add something else to my meh-not-so-much list: patchwork madras. Anything. Shirts, jackets, shorts. Madras I like; patchwork, no--then again I'm not much of a quilt blanket fan either.

I'm mostly upset by your hatred of quilt blankets.

What are those fugly vintage Bass laceups called? Sportsocassins or something. I'm not a fan.

I must wear my Sportocasins more - just for Yuca haha. They are a very decisive shoe but I likes em. I don't dislike my Weejuns - all are NOS Maine made so better than the new stuff, they had either the plastic heal plug or all leather heal and wear well.

Personally I am not a huge fan of the overly conservative look, it just looks a bit... bland? The only person who really pulls off that look for me is Ox, to me it looks a bit Marks and Spencer in the 80s, not that look from the old Brooks catalogues or the Stanley Blacker ads which I see as being the pinnacle of the style along with the photos of all those jazz greats photographed by Francis Wolff.
