Leeds

The AE shoe rather than the city, although I am happy to discuss the latter too. On the longwings thread someone stated that AE shoes are a bit wider than other brands, however when I bought a pair of AE Bradley in D width a few years ago, I had to return them for being too narrow. Therefore if I invest in a pair of Leeds I'll go for an E width - unless someone has information that the Leeds is a wider fit than the Bradley. Anyone able to shed light on this?

Re: Leeds

Some quite nice places near Leeds. I would like to visit Saltaire, built by the do-gooder, industrialist named Salt. A teetotal town at the time, but now there is a brewer of the same name.

Re: Leeds

And then there's the urban legend about Sarah Greene and the Leeds student rugby team.

I thought it was Hull University and involved a Snooker table ? What about the old urban legend about Richard Gere ?

Re: Leeds

I had one of my first crushes on Sarah, she was really a babe and well ahead on the female fashion front back in 1979.

It was a heavy drinking work and play hard rugger chap who related that story to me, I think he didn't understand the reasons I didn't dig the narrative. I do hope it's not true.
