Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

This update to Carl Sagan's documentary is superb with the rich voice of Astrophysicist Neil Tyson and excellent graphics throughout, my kids (and me) have been mesmerized:

We've been watching it too.  It's thoroughly enjoyable.  Takes me back to my Cosmology course in college, which I also really enjoyed.  Or was that Cosmetology?

Re: Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

What is the problem with evolving from apes? It seems to be a new one with new age types to refute it...I can understand why Christians dont like the theory but with all evidence aside..why the beef?

Re: Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

Not only are we evolved from apes but our blood group hints at which ape we are most closely related to.

This is actually pretty intuitive and obvious from just looking at most folk.

For example, Thee Captain clearly has gorilla in his lineage and Woofboxer is strong on chimpanzee.

Shooman, of course, is just a cheeky little monkey.

Yeh Sammy Ambrose, you will look such a chump. Fancy comparing someone with my outstanding good looks to a chimpanzee.

Of course I can't compare you to any species of primate because you never show your face here, but I imagine you look like one of those monkeys with a massive red arse that you wave at people when you're feeling threatened.
