Re: The OCBD of your dreams

Yes, the old Gants are great.  Some of the newer ones aren't bad either.  I'm not completely wed to one particular button-down.  In terms of strict oxford cloth, it's rare to find old Cum Laudes, Purists, or Gants that are 100% cotton and not a poly blend.  That doesn't bother me too much.  But when it comes to straight cotton oxford cloth, Mercers and Fitzies seem to offer all you could ever want.  If you're willing to wear something slightly used, then obviously the older Brooks Makers and the older LE Hyde Parks are solid choices.

Re: The OCBD of your dreams

Just stumbled on this site.  They do button-downs with 3 inch points.

Thanks to Chatsworth Osborne Jr. for pointing out my oversight, I now see that Proper Cloth offers their unfused, yet lined, "Soft Ivy Collar" with a 3.5 inch point.

I don't know what Schnitzengrubens are... Never heard that before but I suppose you mean something that has to do with Wiener Schnitzel?

Re: The OCBD of your dreams

I had to google that one. Interesting, I know now the joke about it etc... Unfortunately this is just... Very "Anglo" joking.wink Neither in Germany nor here in Austria that term exists, that obscure sausage doesn't exist, too... But I can stock up my Käsekrainer, Debreziner and Sacherwürstl instead.wink

I suppose Armchaired will love the Sacherwürstl. He can for sure take more than 15, as they are a bit sleeker wink
