2006 we started in on here on Mr. FNB's Wardrobe forum, after building up Trad elsewhere from 2004. Early July 2008 (I think it was) we created the Talk Ivy forum... Many other blogs & forums followed...
We have 8 years of Ivy input on this Talk Ivy forum to play with. Horace and I (And certain others) have 10 years worth, if we include our previous endeavours.
My point ?
Why not do a search and bump an old thread ?
Very few of the conversations ever reached a conclusion.
There is a treasure trove of insight and opinion on the old threads to be played with. Why just limit yourselves to the latest threads ?
In my humble opinion, I think that bumping old threads to sit beside the new ones is a jolly good idea.
But it's only an opinion.
I agree. By all means, revive threads that still have unrealized potential. The archive is immense. I've thought about maybe reviving one select thread per month and making it a sticky just to squeeze more life out of it.
I frequently peruse the more ancient among our threads. I don't always bump however- I don't like commenting unless I think I have something to say. But there is indeed plenty of information to be found. Of course, most of the links are dead and a lot of the photos are expired.
