Does it really matter what they think in the US, if weren't for John some of us in the UK wouldn't be on this site now writing about it. All hail the King is what I say. Elmsy's ok in small doses, but I can only think that the nearest he got to Ivy was wearing a pair of Weejuns with his Commes Des Garcon suit back in the '80's.......

I'll give credit where it's due. Good for Simons for spreading the look is what I say. Although Ivy was essentially an American export and I cherish it's "all-American" aesthetic, I don't subscribe to any Americentric view that it's only appropriate when worn by Americans, especially WASPs, or that it can't be appreciated and enjoyed by any and everyone that likes it. You like the look? Wear it.

Even though i am based in the UK ,i do find the arrogant attitude of uk simontologists embarrassing.
As for the shop, last year i looked at his latest chino's but it made more sense for me to buy a pair of O'Connell's.
Even after shipping and custom's they worked out £2 cheaper. A quality made in US product as opposed to made in china with a ludicrous cut..
On the subject of chino's , i am awaiting delivery of my first pair of Bills M2s,, any experience brothers ?

I bought a cheap, used pair of M2s a year ago. They never arrived. I think the M2s have the highest rise of the Bills range. I also think Bills now outsource their product (boo).
