You're probably looking at over GBP150 for good boots anyhow, so disregarding actually getting them to the UK ( yikes ) the Danners don't look such a bad deal - and look better than most.

I still have my La Robusta boots from 1982. These things just don't die.

Most walkers will have moved on to newer equipment, maybe you can find a used pair and have them 'revibrammed'.

Probably doesn't give you the support you're looking for but I just wear Quoddy Tracker Boots for any kind of rough outdoor activities, hiking, etc.

P.S. the Fracaps are best with the classic Vibram 1136. Lookwise and function wise, too.

Right. Mighty fine. But way too expensive, the price is somewhat absurd. For that money you can get "bespoke" mountain boots yikes
