nouvelles cravates en soie tricotée

New silk knitted ties from France, online and at Royal Opera Arcade in London.  Très belles couleurs!

I don't know if anyone else suffers from this, but with every silk knitted tie I've owned the knot constantly slips loose. This does not occur with my vintage wool ones. (I've also a knitted cotton Rooster that is fine.)

some sort of banal legitimacy

For me it is usually Nick Bronson but I like to keep my eye out for new options.

Re: nouvelles cravates en soie tricotée

Is it just me or all all silk knit ties much of a muchness? I must have them from 5 or 6 makers in varying price classes but I doubt I could tell them apart in a blind test.

Darkest navy in two widths is enough variety for me. Wool or cotton can be more colourful. Red wool looks great with tweed.
