That huge and heavy evergreen hanging over the Bass House in that picture would have made me quite nervous as a tenant.

I grew up in an open plan house... I wouldn't call it 'Modernist' but it was built in the mid 60s And had four walls built round a clad chimney set in the centre..and huge windows that went from floor to ceiling.

One thing ive always struggled with living anywhere else is how claustrophobic everywhere feels...the exception being tall ceiling Georgian style houses which has actually become a preferred style of mine not that I think Im ever going to be able to afford one.. sometimes both can lack emotion though..and a cosy cottage or Victorian living room is perfect for the winter months...with the previous options being quite cold and stark
