Re: Lean Garments

My 'overdyed oxfords' arrived today.

All the correct details with a good collar roll,
Nice shape ( very similar to a vintage Sero I have),
fabric is ok (better than the Uniqlo oxford at a similar price),
the buttons are a little 'plasticy' (an easy cheap fix)
and no fabric disc behind the collar buttons to help protect the shirt fabric (again an easy fix).

For the 'price point' theses are great addition to any wardrobe.

Re: Lean Garments

Had an email from them about delivery issues - still not got mine. Might drive today or be one with an issue!

EDIT:

DHL stuffed in the letter box, fits a treat, like you say buttons aint all that but the denim is pretty light so will layer up nicely. Vintage Sero rocked up today too, and that's a cracker.

Re: Lean Garments

Agree with Acton... Pretty nice for the price. wink

Of course they are not anywhere near a Fitz... But that would be unfair to compare hahaha...

Re: Lean Garments

Have finally got mine and I am really pleased.
Far superior to my mind than any other shirt at that price.
Will certainly buy again.

Re: Lean Garments

I'm still undecided if I want the grey university stripe OCBD that is available tomorrow.  It seems like something that I'd either love or hate.

No bullshit returns policy. Take a punt. This is their best attempt yet. Do it...

Re: Lean Garments

Shame the boys didn't do the 6 button placket and a fuller cut as they seem to say tear are slimmer than the last ones, hope not as I liked the cut of the last lot. Would love a chambray one but need to save my money for the holiday. Next time.

Re: Lean Garments

I was also really pleased with the shirts I ordered last time. Unfortunately with the size changes I won't be buying this time.

Re: Lean Garments

The sleeves were stupid long in the last batch- I had about 2 and half inches taken off the medium. Can't believe they're gonna be longer still!

I was emailing Lauri about this batch and the plans for the popovers and he told me to stick with the sizing from previous orders. So if you went Medium ( like I did, I had ordered Smalls and exchanged up) last time out then despite the tweaks in pattern you should order the same again.

The collar is supposed to be slightly smaller in this batch too. Smaller but rollier... wink

Re: Lean Garments

I think the chambray has longer arms due to shrinkage. I was happy with the length after putting them into the dryer two times, but they are still a tad long... I am tempted by the chambray...
