I have just received a newsletter from Epaulet, who regularly do MTO for trousers, shirts and sweaters. Their trousers were until now made by Hertling:

"After more than six decades in the clothing business, our good friend and mentor Julie Hertling has passed the torch of his factory onto new owners. There are some big changes afoot for next year, so we're partnering with them to clear out the majority of their current fabric inventory. We're thrilled to offer you the most extensive "Ends for Friends" promotion that we have ever done. And this is not only the largest one in our history with Hertling, but it will most likely be the last for quite a while. We have exclusive access to these fabrics for the next 10 days, but after that they'll be cleared out in other means. (...)"

I don't know whether there's a difference in choice between the MTO listed on their site and what they dub "ends for friends".

It sounds like the factory is being transferred to new owners but the company isn't going anywhere and I doubt the employees and old hands are. O'C has their trousers cut to spec (as I presume most of Hertlings retail stockists do) so I imagine they'll still be manufacturing the same old. It's not like there's anything particular about them that would make it difficult to still cut on order for O'C.
