Why Ivy ?
I go with Ian Strachan of The Ivy Shop: "People shop here if they want something smart but a bit different."
So that's MY Ivy - Something smart but a bit different. That I first saw the style on Black Jazzmen has very little significance. I might venerate them, but I've never aspired to being one of them.
To each their own Ivy.

I always felt that for Incognito the Ivy thing was about taking his teenage young fogey SW1 thing and infusing it with a bit of naff Americana. 'Proper' gear worn incorrectly. I meanwhile thought the Bass Weejun could be an instrument of revolution. We each bring our own fantasies to our wardrobes.

Wow. Amazing this stuff irritates you so much you feel the need to tamper with the copy. Might I suggest : if you're going to change the words to humorous effect you should make it funny.

We are just a stupid bunch of Limeys Joey.
My humor is particularly childish and is probably not understood by most Brits.
Back to the OP, for me its Movies , Music,family and the fact that i am a casual but smart type of guy.
Also Stan is clearly no Benedict Arnold but i have actually danced on BA's grave on a number of occasions ... True story.
