What do you guys have on your wants lists this season?
*Heavy tweed overcoat
*3 piece flannel and tweed suits (Hardy and Johnsons next move?)
*shawl collar cardigan with throat latch, that I don't have to pay through the nose for
*some more board shirts (I currently have 2 that were too big on my ebay, hoping to find another that fits before summers out?)
*possibly some more shetlands
Possibly a stadium coat too, WM has a lovely one.
What I want more than anything though, is a three piece corduroy sack suit with flannel lined vest!
105 in my neck of the woods yesterday. Triple digits again today. A warm, dry El Nino autumn and winter expected.
Changing of the seasons is but a wish at this point, though my wardrobe is ready for such an event.
The weather here isn't as hot as where Farrago is, but I still don't see an opportunity for me to break out the autumn wardrobe anytime soon.
The only thing on my list is one of the new Hardy and Johnson jackets, as soon as they come out.
There were roaring fires in the two pubs in Heptonstall, Yorkshire last Sunday. Nice ales in one pub and a lovely Sunday roast in the other for just six quid.
I did bring a raincoat which I initially thought might be a bit pessimistic. I was glad of it on Monday though for a damp and drizzly Saltaire
Leeds has come on a bit over the years.
I for one am finding it still pretty humid in the city of Londres, even after sundown anything more that a shirt is uncomfortable - which makes wearing a jacket on the scoot somewhat unpleasant - but I like the skin on my arms.
Might score a couple of shetlands and gutted most of the trousers in the J Press sale are too big!
We are at the height of summer here in New York. Ahhh, the urine, the humidity, the rats. So far from God, so close to hell.
Yet still I am wearing a sweater because indoors the air bites shrewdly. When I grow up I am going to move far, far away.
All I want for the upcoming seasons is a rust, or thereabouts, colored sweater.
hahahaha.... "wee wee tang"
My cardi's lovely, soft and deep
But I've got button-downs real cheap
And cords to wear before I sleep
Im hopefully heading upto Inverness soon on the way to Findhorn, and was wondering does anyone know where to go to get the good stuff knitwear wise?
It also carries a bit of significance to me in TI terms because I always hoped to visit brother Liam up that way and it reminded me of how much I still consider his views and thoughts and how great this trip wouldve been in coinciding with meeting him. God bless you weeman
D.C. is absolutely awful with the heat and humidity this week. I'm not a fan of summer other than the fact that it leads into my my favorite season autumn. I'm currently re-building my closet after some weight loss.
I need to buy a few shetlands in standard colors. And, of course, I'll pick up just about any nice OCBD or tweed/camel hair/corduroy 3 roll 2 jacket that fits me. Most of that will be from the thrift store since I'm a meagerly paid print journalist.
Though, I have a plan to get one really nice tweed jacket this season. I'm look at the sub $1,000 category, but that still puts me in a pretty good spot. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about O'Connell's. I'm also going to be spending some time at my girlfriend's family's house in Litchfield so I might go on a New England pilgrimage to find the perfect sport jacket. Any recommendations for shops up there in a three hour radius from western Connecticut?
What size are you McDermott?
