Ha! That's one way to pay tribute/settle a score.
The Dead Milkmen were inclined to take the odd pop at their peers. I recall another (not very good) song of theirs called The Thing That Only Eats Hippies, which contained a line along the lines of "It only eats things with long hair/so Bob and Greg and Grant you better beware".
