I kind of wish these white 5p Lee Westerners had a "Make an Offer" tab in the listing... but mostly not!

The way I see it, is that all legit jeans came from a workwear / cowboy heritage. So no need shying away from that. Own it! But I do feel guilty and a bit liable that Stan was permanently injured by his 13MWZs. I mean, the guy is permanently disfigured; he's a real freak now.
Yeah. There is that. But you know Lee and Levi were the names of the real gay cowboys Bareback Mountain was based on.
If anyone can squeeze into a pair of 31's these look good...

ANYONE got some of those LVC 1962 551z ?
...basically compared to the 505 (which I assume is the nearest cut)...is they skinnier/on a par/wider....

Curious
W1
P.S. No squeezy honey in sainsburys earlier... may's fucking britain...
^ 505s are skinnier at thigh, 551z narrower at ankle ( by 1/2")
^ sid,
the 551z are a great fit but a definite try before you buy, they don't suit the short legged among us as cuffing them over emphasises the taper and can make them look a bit carrot legged.
34w have an 11.5" rise so not huge but are cut a bit like 519s with quite a high back rise so sit up nice and high without sliding down when you sit down.
Mmmm.. cheers babes..so we talking "tights" then....not really conducive to a good bleedin' lunge, huh?!?
May have to start "Arnold Layn(e)ing" like the Worried Slapper.....
hahahahaha
Might try on these, the thighs on 505s are way to tight for my fat thighs.
I have the 1962 551z and the 33s are bigger in the top block than my size 34 1954 501z and waaay bigger than my size 33 1967 505s, which were so tight in the thigh I ended up getting rid of them. I would go a size down to your high street vanity size.
I have a pair, you should have mentioned it early capt'nin the boozah. Not worn them yet, but a much better rise and fuller cut in the leg, didn't notice the taper myself.
They look resplendent T - but not with my calves he he..
^ sort of,
historically the 505 is actually closer to the original mid-60s 502,

Comparing the LVC re-issues...
the 505 are slimmer down the whole leg - 20.5"thigh- 17" knee - 16" hem ( sanforised so almost no shrinkage)
the 551 ( or the 1954 501) has more of a taper. 22" thigh- 18" knee - 16" hem ( pre shrink) to 21"-17.5"-15.5" (post shrink)
Above measurements are from my own 32w 32l pairs.
Just a note on this , the current LVC 505 on the Levis website ( coloured and denim versions) come up very small. so a definite try before you buy.

551z also have a boxier top I found. Just started wearing mine so not washed just had a soak to reduce the starch a bit. Not sure if you can still get them, maybe online if if Levi's have some stock left.

After how long do you wash the jeans? I've been wearing my LVC 1967 505's for about six months now, not regularly, but sorta once a week, and I thought that it's about time to wash them. My concern is that they are already tight as hell around the thighs and washing them will basically make them unwearable, so how should I do? I've never actually washed jeans before, I assume I should sit in the bathtub and just let them dry on me, but do anyone know approximately how much they will shrink?
That's not much wear tbh Sancho, I would suggest getting some Mr Black Denim refresh spray and wear for another 6 months, unless you've had a mess in them.
Wash them in a cold program then stretch them out while they are still wet. Air dry them, not tumble, keep repeating the stretching while they are drying or put them on.
