British khaki for me, a back buckle would be nice? 30-32.

Re: The getting our own natural waist "collegiate cut" chino's made thread

I'm guessing this has been discussed here before (although I haven't seen any threads on it), but is there any chance this chino project over at Ivy Style would meet folks' needs:

http://www.ivy-style.com/full-rise-narrow-leg-the-ivy-style-khaki-project.html

These were supposed to be available in October, but were delayed, and I reckon are expected any time now.

Personally, I am considering purchasing a pair of those Ivy Style pants, but would also be completely open to purchasing a pair through this forum too. I'm a 36 waist (if there is no vanity sizing) and a 32 inseam (though I would concur that unfinished pants is probably the way to go for this type of small batch).

Billax in the flesh! Or at least live and digital. I would opt for unfinished as well. I'll leave the rise and leg opening to the experts.

I'd be in, for sure. In an ideal world, I'd love a 34W-29.5L, maybe 7.75 hem? Failing that, an unfinished hem, though that seems to present its share of issues. As for colour -  navy, olive and/or British khaki?

Great idea - whatever happens, it's nice to fantasise...

30W-29I for me, though unfinished would probably be the best course. And stone would probably be the most versatile of all colors and would be a good starting off point. Just my two cents.

If this somehow gets off the ground, I'd be happy to pitch in any way I can.

Personally always found stone a surprisingly difficult colour compared to british khaki when it comes to matching with everything.

Certainly unfinished would make sense. A proper length zip is important as you say, WM.

31 waist, 32 inside leg. 7.5" cuff. Olive and British khaki!

Hello fellow 30/29 members!
The back strap would be nice, not mandatory.  I'd love that dickey little loop for the belt buckle prong, and an internal coin pocket.  Watch pocket optional.  Flap back packets preferable, although the little button loop is nice too.  French fly, split waist.

I think the buckle back would maybe be something to consider after an initial success.  But I like that idea too.

Internal coin pocket - check
Watch pocket - check

I'm not really keen on the flap pockets.

French fly is a good feature.

Split waist - check

The poodle clearly wants in on the action zone. Perhaps it thinks that's where the snack sack is?

Cramerton Army Cloth is just that. It's for khakis. Not chinos. There is a difference. Khakis = US Army and are meant to be starched (and heavily) and creased (sharply). What you guys want is chinos. A different animal. And khaki don't give me that stuff about khaki being a color. Chinos are also worn short - at about the ankle. Look in Take Ivy.

Mrs WM's dad worked with Zappa. He sings in "the chorus" on some album.

An archetypal image.  Beautiful.  It's as if I've seen it before.
