Warning.. do not buy from West Coast Ivy!

Warning.. do not buy from West Coast Ivy!

I was informed this evening of a potential "Mugging" of one of our beloved members "Sancho Panza" by The West coast Ivy "Esty Shop" that is run by Young Soul rebel.

This story starts with me passing a link to Yuca of a makers for Sale on the west coast Ivy "E Bay" shop on 02/10/15, Yuca bought the shirt almost immediately.
He did this a little warily as it was shortly after Young soul rebel had announced he was leaving the forum after being treated a bit roughly
by the guys over on the Wardrobe.

Move forward a few weeks to the 22/10/15 when i noticed that the listing i had passed to Yuca had been re listed and was back up on e bay. Please keep in mind that it was a six button makers but quite unusual in the fact that the label was in blue rather than the usual red.

At this time i also noticed that Sancho posted the same shirt (the photo was identical to the one that i passed to Yuca) on the recent old Ivy finds thread but he had purchased this through the west coast Ivy "Esty Shop".

I passed this information to Yuca as i strongly suspected that YSR had double sold for some reason.Yuca contacted him and he declared that he had two identical shirts, so all good you would think ?
However i still felt that that this was bogus as using the same photograph for both shirts is "off "in my opinion and also
why didn't he list them at the same time ? And why was the e bay link that i passed to Yuca also showing as relisted when Yuca had bought and paid for the shirt ?
A couple of weeks later Yuca received the shirt and all was well.
But........it appears that Sancho has not received his shirt and its been almost two months since he paid for it.

He hasn't even got a rely from him, despite trying to contact him twice through Etsy (Nov 2, 2015 and  Nov 23, 2015),and once through a PM here on FNB Talk Ivy (Nov 10, 2015). Since then he has even sent him an e-mail to his private mail (Dec 2, 2015).

We maybe a small community but we look after our own, so YSR is not welcome here until he offers Sancho an explanation and a refund or the shirt.
I would urge you all to boycott his E Bay and Esty shops until this issue is resolved.

This is sad. I brought something off of him on here and he was really easy to deal with and it arrived fairly quick.

Strange behaviour from someone who maybe should  a) sort out Sancho and b) come on here and explain what's happened from his point of view?

There's been several cases like this recently from different sellers who were supposedly members of our community.

He's not the only one. Kafka on the Shore another occasional poster has been mugged too - for a red stripe Makers shirt. I met him for a beer after work last night and suggested he mention it on here, alas it seems he is not the first person to fall foul, I will point him at this thread - maybe he can comment on what happened himself.

Strange that Captain Maddox who has done the same, didn't get the same slagging?

Also Jakko promised to sell several members things but then stopped replying/ posting.

Unless there's a very good answer coming from YSR obviously this is pretty low behaviour, but I don't think we need to fill a thread full of personal insults at the man.

I had no idea that CMaddox had ripped anyone off (assuming your info is correct). Have the mods been informed? Does he still sell online?

This thread is not 'full of personal insults'.

As for Jakko: you appear to be saying that he hasn't actually taken funds from anyone, in which case it's not remotely comparable.

^ Agree, it's saying someone who was once an active member of the forum has as far as can been seen offered for sale items that are the same numerous times for monetary gain, and that at least 2 of the forums members have fallen foul to this.

I can't comment on other members offering goods and not following through but its not like fellow forumees to keep quiet about such behaviour.

http://forums.filmnoirbuff.com/viewtopic.php?id=19206 The Maddox thread.

Also Yuca, you've made at least 2 very strong digs at YSR above, of course that's not a whole thread, I just don't want it to go that way.

Sancho have you reported him through Etsy, if your unsure how to word it there's several union reps and a lawyer on this board if you need help?

I've made at least 2 very strong digs at YSR? I'd like to apologize to all - I should have made a lot more digs at the bastard than that.

You know what Yuca, I respect you in many ways, but I don't like this behaviour from you and as was proved in your discussions with Acton about Fred Astaire you don't like to concede anything in a debate.

I could go on, I could even make some personal comments about you but I think it would be a waste of time.

If there's one thing I hate more than ripping off customers it's inky knuckles.

There, I said it.

Tommy,

Yes, I have done that, here is my case:

"Thanks for letting us know there was an issue with your order. The shop, WestCoastIvy, should be in touch soon. If your case hasn't been resolved by December 22, 2015, you can escalate it to Trust and Safety for review. If you feel your issue has been resolved, please close the case. "

I would suggest the most painless and effective way is via Paypal, dispute then claim. It will take about two minutes total and then you can move on.

To be fair though, your neck and hands aren't covered in tattoos - so we don't have to look at them. I would never have said anything about YSR's ink out of politeness and tolerance - but now he's ripped off our good brother Sancho, fuck him! His tattoos looked horrendous, absolutely hideous.

Ah well yes, I'm not saying tattoos are a signifier of untrustworthiness - I always find bearded men are the worst when it comes to that.
