Next you'll be insulting people who are covered in tattoos.
Do you know what I can't stand? ..... conga players!
In a way I just don't care about Brooks anymore no matter what they do with their shirts
My money for new shirts has got to go where it furthers the cause, which is to say, J. Press and O'Connell's even if their shirts aren't quite the equal of the best Brooks Makers examples
Incensed the place sells Chinese schlock for the same price as the USA-made goods at the real places
One of these days I'll get around to ordering something from Mercer because they do offer some otherwise unavailable things I used to find regularly at Press and Brooks
But I'm trying to uncomplicate things here and staying on top of custom orders isn't appealing to me at the moment
Because real Ivy was 99% ready-made off-the-rack stuff, that was a big part of why it was great and why it took off in the '50s
I also should have added that I am pretty impatient when it comes to clothing purchases.

Now on sale in BB Regent St. They look good, but at GBP 145 I didn't bother trying one.
That's 50 quid cheaper than getting one online. If they are a perfect or near perfect replica of an old school Makers I would be tempted at that price - similar to Mercer without the waiting. However I still have doubts about how close they are to the real thing.
I think he means available, not in the sale..
Yes, available as new stock ay GBP 145. We might see them in the 2016 summer sale but BB markdowns aren't all that great so they'd still probably top GBP 100 if discounted.
Still too expensive, even for Made in USA... I am sure that they are pretty near though far away from being identical. The collar will be pretty damn near though as my Made in USA with lining shares the same measurements and the overall look/roll with my vintage Makers... And the collar on my Malaysian BD is more or less identical, no lining included. Shouldn't be too complicated to replicate that collar
