A new contender for best suit in a movie

Amazing movie, as well. Going to have to watch it again soon.

Must be some wash and wear bulletproof blend.

Good call, great film. Watched The Godfather the other night, Michael wears some nice button downs.

Re: A new contender for best suit in a movie

I watched the film a few years ago and thought it was not very good, and the outfits didn't grab me either. Sorry guys.

Best suit in a movie? Hmmmm. Maybe Fonda in 12 Angry Men. But I've only seen it once and that's off the top of my head. Lemmon in The Apartment?

some sort of banal legitimacy

Neither of you have to apologize for having poor taste in movies. It's not your fault...

^ we screened a 16mm print in Montreal along with Monte Hellman's Cockfighter years back, before they were digitally restored and released in multiple formats. TLB's one of my fave flicks as well!

^ Agreed. Some great button-downs on Poitier in The Slender Thread. Great movie all around.

Re: A new contender for best suit in a movie

I'll gladly endure a shit movie just to see Poitier in his prime.  Handsome, charming, usually decked out in fine form.  I also like hearing him speak.
